Founder and Head Coach of Denis Pelegrin Tennis

Denis Pelegrin has devoted his life to mentoring students in the art of playing professional-level tennis. With a degree in Business Administration and over twenty-seven years of coaching incredibly talented high-ranking athletes, including his protégé Ryan Sweeting, former ATP player and 2005 US Open Junior Champion, Coach Pelegrin is strictly determined to not just coach players – but to coach the player, providing customized tennis instruction to take each player to the peak of his or her prospective abilities, and beyond.

While pursuing this vocation, he has coached and guided numerous players from junior ranks to professional level tennis. Among these, more than 50 players ranked in the top 10, top 25 and top 100 in the ITF junior world rankings, and players such as Nicole Valdisova, Michael Mmoh, Gastao Elias, and Heather Watson have credited his coaching as a major contribution to their own successes. These achievements in Pelegrin-developed players include, 7 Orange Bowl titles, 6 Eddie Herr trophies, and 1 US Open Junior Crown.

All players, including his varied international mentees (including two time Eddie Herr Champion Maria Shishkina), trained by Coach Pelegrin received full or partial scholarships in the USA. Coach Pelegrin takes great professional pride in using his extensive experience to help make his students great, and treasures the moments when he sees them succeed in their dreams. For that reason, Coach Pelegrin founded Denis Pelegrin Tennis and he oversees a team of coaches and programs that ensure you receive the tennis education to take you to your next level.
